UltraDMA/33 (or UltraATA) is
a new type of IDE controller and hard disk drive (HDD) that allows transfer rate
of up to 33MB/sec. Traditional IDE controllers and HDDs' maximum transfer rate
is approximately 16MB/sec under multi-word DMA mode 2.
So what do you need to enable UltraDMA/33 on your system? UltraDMA/33 will be enabled if these three conditions are met:
