    Operating System Specific Questions

I am installing NT 4.0 Server, but I keep getting the "blue screen of death" when I restart.

  • Most likely you are loading the default NT Intel network card driver.
  • NT will detect the onboard network card and load its default driver. But the drivers are incorrect.
  • You need to load Intel's network driver instead.

Do you have a troubleshooting guide for Windows NT 4.0?

  • Yes, we do; please see PREMIO Windows NT 4.0 Troubleshooting Guide.

How do I install Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS)?

  • Download the PDF (Adobe Acrobat) Intel's SBS Installation Guide (97K).
  • Click here to get the Acrobat reader; 4.1MB in size.

I get an inaccessible boot device after the first reboot when installing Microsoft Small Business Server.

  • SBS uses an unattended installation procedure. If you install SBS on a system with an unsupported SCSI controller, you will get this error.
  • This problem is documented (along with the workaround) on Microsoft Support site as Q177205.
  • Download the PDF (Adobe Acrobat) Intel's SBS Installation Guide (97K).
